    A safety reminder, don’t celebrate too early.

    Darrel was pleased. When the guys in the dorm proposed moving the new English professor’s car to the roof of the girl’s dorm, a piece at a time, the idea sounded great. The light of the next day, and lingering hangover, had made the project seem a bit .. more work than laughs. Now, though, 36 hours later, they were nearing completion. All the parts were ready to put back together. Only..

    Showing off (as usual), Darrel lit his cigar with the torch, demonstrating his ‘skill’. But 10 beers later, the cigar was quite a bit shorter, and Darrel was a bit less steady with the torch. And forgot which hand held the beer, which the torch, and how to manage both and the cigar.

    The doctors assured Darrel that he would only smell the burned nose hairs a couple more days, but that the 1st degree mild burns on his nose, upper lip, right thigh (don’t ask), and left ankle would take a week to ten days to completely clear up.

    Darrel’s worst moments come when he recalls the hysterical aftermath of the incident, when one of the girls helping out took off her shirt to bat the flames from his sock. Was that just the beer, or did Mandy really flash him when he was too drunk to appreciate the sight of those pert nipples?

    Funny thing is, I think I know that guy. He looks just like our buddy Jory, whos nickname is ‘Lawn Dart’ for his (lack of) freestyle MX jump abilities.

    Thanks guys! I’m the proudest aunt there can be! She’s absolutely precious and if I can help it, Emma will surely be a ‘Zilla Tot. After all, her mom (my sister) continued to eat spicy foods all through her pregnancy. She’s definitely gonna be a little sugar and spice! 😛
