The Brief
THe author, Jacki Smith, needed some spot illustrations for her largest work to date; a 320 page tome covering all aspects of candle magic. Many of the illustrations were instructional in nature, and required accuracy.
The Solution
The motions of dressing candles proved challenging, so I enlisted my wife as a hand model and used directional arrows to show the reader the proper application of essential oils. Other illustrations were lighter in nature, including a few cartoons and a meme.
